Regular maritime services

Regular maritime services

The transport of containerized merchandise by sea from the Port of Vilagarcía is focused on the Atlantic route that connects Vilagarcía with the Cantabrian coast, Portugal and the Canary Islands. This containerised liner service offers its clients two weekly frequencies for the transfer of their products.

The holder of the concession for the Container Terminal is the company Boluda Maritime Terminals, which carries out its activity on the land created after the expansion of the Ferrazo dock.

The regular service in the Port of Vilagarcía connects directly to important ports both on the peninsula and in the Canary archipelago, among which are Bilbao, Santander, Vilagarcía de Arousa, Leixoes, Setúbal, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The design of this route allows its users to have a complete range of possibilities when transporting their goods to multiple destinations around the world.

The Port of Vilagarcía has the possibility of intermodal rail / maritime transport, a service that has already been used with very good results.
